HP to launch Windows 8 tablet Chipset by the year end

To be launched by Christmas this year, the new tablet tailored for security, productivity and business network compatibility.

Personal computer maker, HP (Hewlett-Packard) is set to bring a tablet based on Windows 8 operating system. This will be the second tablet after HP's first WebOS based tab which was launched last year. Hewlett-Packard's co chief executive officer Meg Whitman said, "HP will release by Christmas a new tablet tailored for security, productivity and business network compatibility." "The company will release the tablet computer based on Microsoft Corp's new version of its Windows software (the Windows 8) and Intel's technology (Chipset)," Whitman added.

 MARSIZCELLULAR
Like its PCs and laptops, this tablet will be more tuned for work but will appeal to any consumer who wants to do both work and leisure activities using a tablet.
Current crop of tablets are more focused on the leisure part, though Lenovo, Cisco and some other lesser known brands have tried their hands at business tablet with both Windows 7 and Android operating system but have not been really successful.
One of the reasons for that is the fact that Windows 7 is not tuned for touch screen tablets and Android is not tuned for enterprise applications in a way they should be.
Windows 8 which is yet to be released tries to answer both these problems by having an interface that is by default tuned for touch devices with Metro Style (Window Phone 7 interface design) interface and ability to run all the desktop application on the same machine.
Microsoft is set to pull the curtains down from its next generation Windows 8 mobile operating system on February 29.
The beta version of the operating system will be unveiled in the consumer preview event in Barcelona. It will only then be known how the enterprises and the consumers take to this new OS and that will tell us how much success HP can have with this tablet.
